Studio.SC is pleased to announce the promotion of Anh Nguyen to Associate in our Sydney studio.
Since joining Studio.SC, Anh has brought sophistication, quiet confidence and a deeply considered design approach to complex projects across residential, mixed-use and adaptive reuse.
From her early work on 20 Berry Street, Anh showed an ability to step into challenging conditions, navigate the unknown and help shape clear design ideas within a fast-moving project environment. Since then, her work across major HDA and SSDA projects has strengthened her capability across design, narrative, project thinking and the broader business of architecture.
“20 Berry Street has always stayed with me,” Anh says. “It pushed me to adapt quickly, navigate new challenges and contribute to a fast-moving project, creating the right conditions for clear, unfiltered ideas.”
Anh brings a strong sense of commitment to her work. She acts with optimism, urgency and purpose, ambitious in her pursuit of design excellence, yet measured in the way she balances risk, reward, time and value.
Her personal integrity, curiosity and interpersonal strength have made her a trusted voice within project teams and across the studio. Her promotion to Associate acknowledges not only her growth as an Architect, but her emerging strength as a leader. Someone who listens, learns, takes ownership and creates confidence in others.

For Anh, the promotion is also a reflection of the people around her.
“This promotion means a lot because it reflects the people I’ve had the chance to learn from, work alongside and grow with. I’ve been fortunate to have leaders who trusted me to take ownership and learn through experience.”
Studio.SC Director Nicholas Bandounas has worked closely with Anh across several complex projects and has seen her growth first-hand.
“Anh has always had strong design instincts,” Nicholas says. “What has been a pleasure to watch is how she has grown within Studio.SC, not just in her raw design skills, but in her ability to listen, shape a design around a narrative and tell a clear story.”
“She has also taken a keen interest in the business side of architecture, from time and cost to utilisation and efficiency. That broader awareness is an important part of her development as a leader.”
As Associate, Anh is excited to continue supporting the wider team and contributing to the collective strength of the studio.
“One of the things I’ve always enjoyed about Studio.SC is that we’re all very different, a bit like an orchestra,” Anh says. “The string section may not always carry the whole melody, but it plays an important role. I’m excited to support that section and help strengthen the overall outcome.”
Through her ability to inspire, mentor and direct people, Anh continues to contribute to the collective strength of Studio.SC. We congratulate Anh on this well-deserved promotion and look forward to seeing her continue to shape thoughtful, considered and compelling architecture.
