This front-end focused role suits a confident leader who thrives on taking projects from first sketch through to design development, with a strong command of feasibility, planning and early documentation.

You’ll drive the creative direction of significant mixed use, multi residential, hotel, commercial and public projects, working closely with clients, councils and collaborators to deliver compelling design outcomes that respond to place, ambition and constraint.

Join a highly collaborative, design focused studio committed to creativity, precision and respectful leadership. You’ll be supported by a team of passionate architects who share your belief in the value of good design and the rigour it takes to deliver it.

Key Responsibilities

  • Feasibility: Assess site opportunities, constraints, and planning regulations, in order to develop early-stage project and design strategies.

  • Massing and Master Planning: Develop project massing strategies and urban design responses that align with authority and SEPP guidelines.

  • Planning Approvals: Lead the preparation and coordination of Planning Proposals, State Significant Development Applications (SSDA) and Development Applications (DA), ensuring compliance and our client ambitions are balanced.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with clients, authorities and design review panels, to navigate planning controls and negotiate project outcomes. Act as lead consultant to drive program and guide clients and stakeholders.

  • Design Compliance & Documentation: Ensure that designs meet ADG requirements, SEPP controls, and local planning regulations, while supporting the transition from concept design to design development and documentation.

  • Team Coordination: Work closely with internal teams to drive design outcomes and mentor team members.

About You
