Andrew is a well-travelled creative individual, driven by a conscientious curiosity. Informing Andrew’s design principles is a strong connection to modernist design ideals; the belief that there is an intrinsic connection between form and function. This ideology guides Andrew’s approach to architecture and bolsters his belief in well-designed spaces that positively impact the psyche and wellbeing of a person.
Andrew’s 10 years of architectural experience has comprised of a variety of project typologies within the commercial, sports & recreation, student accommodation and multi-residential sectors. His involvement in projects has been throughout all phases of the project lifecycle; design, delivery and contract administration, accelerating not only his design skills but also his knowledge of the entire design process. Understanding a project’s lifecycle will better ensure its success and has enabled Andrew to resolve challenging architectural details throughout documentation phases.
Andrew’s role includes a high degree of sub-consultant coordination and requires working closely with technical leaders. He believes that a key part of achieving a well-founded design solution comes from a good work ethic and dynamic team collaboration; he particularly enjoys the collaborative nature of architecture and understands the importance of establishing a strong relationship with the internal project team, clients and the wider design team.
