The building’s efficient central core provides flexible 360-degree floor plates, while the curved windows make the most of the sweeping views across Sydney Harbour from the top floors. Designed with the tenant front of mind, emphasis was placed on the efficiency of fit-out, from the planning module to the minimisation of openings around the central service core. Distances from external wall to core ensure significant penetration of natural light and space planning flexibility for offices and workstations.
The building’s façade is a wall system incorporating low maintenance stone, glass and aluminium. Low sill heights enable almost floor to ceiling windows. Advanced high-performance glass provides a high level of transparency and light transmittance with excellent thermal insulation properties, minimising the heat load on the mechanical system.
Externally the emphasis has been placed on longevity. Not just in the selection of long lasting and low maintenance materials but also in terms of consciously avoiding bold statements of fashion. The façade is calm, elegant and predominantly neutral in colour, allowing the building to age gracefully while maintaining over the long term a high standard of quality in the perception of the marketplace.
