The Gladstone is a landmark, 700 Build-Rent apartments, located within Fishermans Bend. South Melbourne. Across three striking towers, the project creatively blends historical heritage with contemporary innovation forming a community focused design.

With 700 apartments spread across three towers, the project offers diverse living options for The Gladstone residents. Communal amenities, including gyms, cinemas, music rooms, and pocket parks, enrich residents’ experiences. The activation of ground-level spaces with retail and co-working hubs ensures vibrant engagement with the surrounding urban environment, fostering a cohesive community for residents and visitors alike.

The design thoughtfully responds to its context by embracing the precinct’s architectural heritage. The podiums—rooted in the materiality of historic brick warehouses—connect the towers to the site’s industrial past. The organic forms of the towers juxtapose this grounded aesthetic, symbolizing a progressive future. Careful massing minimizes overshadowing and maximizes view corridors, ensuring sensitivity to pre-existing conditions while establishing a bold architectural statement.
