Giffnock Avenue brings over 1,000 new dwellings into a transit-oriented, high-amenity setting. Podium and tower forms are shaped to optimise solar access, permeability and long views toward Lane Cove National Park, creating a neighbourhood that is both connected and future focused.
The design is grounded in Connecting with Country principles, embedding cultural narratives, ecological systems and local identity throughout the precinct. A permeable and active ground plane extends the Industrial Creek Woven Way, linking homes, communal open spaces and moments of landscape. Urban greening, climate-positive ESD strategies and a network of shared spaces support community life and enhance daily experience.
As a benchmark project within the Stage 1 Neighbourhoods Design Guide, Giffnock Avenue demonstrates how density, cultural expression and community infrastructure can come together to form a resilient and vibrant new urban centre.
